Sump Pump Failure in Crown Point, Indiana

SERVPRO of Benton, Jasper, Newton and Southern Lake Counties' IICRC Certified Water Removal Technician had to remove the bottom 2' of drywall, baseboard and trim from this stairwell after it flooded during a recent storm. The technician also removed the affected carpet from the stairs so that the wood stair treads could be properly dried. The tack strip was removed from the floor so that it would not be a safety hazard for the resident during remediation and repairs. In the before photo, you can see how the area looked before our crews were contacted. The homeowner started remediation but quickly decided the project was too large for her to complete herself. She was elated with how quickly the work was completed.
