Multiple Pipe Bursts at Hospital in Crown Point Indiana

Cold weather doesn't discriminate between residential and commercial buildings! When temperatures dropped below freezing early this year the sprinkler system at a hospital froze causing water damage throughout their urgent care facilities. Water flooded the waiting room, patient rooms, hallways and treatment rooms. SERVPRO of Benton, Jasper, Newton and Southern Lake Counties was contacted to extract water so that the urgent care center could reopen less than 24 after the initial break. While multiple crews were working overnight, the fire department was dispatched because a second pipe broke by the front lobby. SERVPRO adjusted the mitigation plan to include extracting the front foyer to prevent secondary damage while still cleaning up the urgent care area in time to receive patients by the original deadline.
