Extraction Teamwork After Commercial Water Damage

SERVPRO of Benton, Jasper, Newton and Southen Lake Counties called in all of our crews after receiving a call from a hospital in Crown Point, Indiana. Serval thousand square feet of standing water was in their urgent care facility and patient rooms. Our crews worked quickly overnight to remove as much water as possible to have the areas open for business less than 24 hours after the initial call. While our truck mount can handle most extraction jobs by itself, we broke out multiple extractors for this job. The technician on the right is using a weighted extractor which works best on short pile carpet. It is using her body weight to remove more water in a single pass. The technician on the left is using a wand to extract water. It works best for areas that are hard to reach, like closets and corners. It can also be used for hard surfaces. Other technicians (not photographed) are using submersible pumps and squeegees. You can trust that SERVPRO has the right tools to make it "Like it never even happened."
